Farmer’s Markets in CDA & Hayden: Your Guide to Fresh & Local Finds

Local Guide

The arrival of spring in North Idaho brings more than just blooming flowers—it marks the return of our beloved local market season. Whether you are looking for farm-fresh produce, handcrafted artisan goods, or a fun afternoon of live music and food trucks, there is a market for (almost) every day of the week!
Here is your guide to the must-visit markets in Coeur d’Alene and Hayden for the 2026 season.

Kootenai County Farmer's Market

This year marks a massive milestone for the Kootenai County Farmer's Market as it celebrates its 40th anniversary. It’s incredible to look back at how far this community staple has come; what started with a handful of local farmers selling produce out of the back of pickup trucks on a closed-off section of Sherman Avenue has blossomed into a North Idaho institution.
Today, the market has grown into two vibrant weekly locations, serving as the primary hub for over 100 local producers and artisans. Whether you’re looking for native plants to start your garden, fresh meats and cheeses, or handcrafted birdhouses and furniture, you’ll find it here. Grab a cup of coffee, listen to live music, and soak in four decades of local tradition.
