Indoor plans for a North Idaho spring weekend 🌧️

Happy Friday! Well, it looks like North Idaho spring is back in full force this weekend. We got spoiled with that little taste of summer heat, but since the rain is moving back in, it’s the perfect time to enjoy some indoor adventures.
I’m keeping things cozy for you this week—here’s what you need to know for your weekend plans:

Gather & Grow Fair 🚜

If you’re looking to stay dry and get inspired, head over to the Kootenai County Fairgrounds today or Saturday for the Gather & Grow Market & Fair. With 85 vendors across three themed buildings, this isn't your regular market—it’s a skill-sharing community. You can catch live demos and workshops to learn about everything from preserving traditional skills to meeting the people who grow your food. It’s a great way to support our local makers, artisans and farmers.

Fresh Finds in CDA 🥖🍗

The local food scene is heating up, even if the weather isn't! Zesty’s Wings is now open at the Prairie Pavilion—perfect for a weekend flavor fix.
And sourdough lovers, rejoice! We have two local cottage bakeries moving into retail spaces soon. Crescent Moon Sourdough (a gluten-free favorite!) is headed to Midtown, while Manna Sourdough is setting up shop on Government Way just south of Appleway. We don’t have official opening dates yet, but you’ll be the first to know when those ovens are fired up.

If the rain has you craving a caffeine fix instead, don't forget to check out our Downtown Coffee Crawl guide to find your new favorite rainy-day nook. Stay warm, support our local vendors, and enjoy the weekend!
