Technically, it's still summer! ☀️ (Labor Day Weekend Guide)

Happy Labor Day weekend!
Technically it’s still summer, but the weather clearly didn’t get the memo! I’m still holding out hope for a few more 80-degree beach days this month (hello, locals season!), but until then, grab your favorite cozy sweater and rain jacket because there is WAY too much happening around town to stay inside this weekend!

Here are a few top highlights to add to your weekend agenda:
End of Summer Yacht Party 🚤🪩 The final No Ego Nights boat party of the season is going down this Saturday, September 5th! They're bringing in world-renowned DJ MOONLGHT to cap off the summer on Lake Coeur d'Alene. The party starts at 6:00 PM and it's not too late to join... grab your tickets here!
Saturday Morning Market 🧺 Rain or shine, the Kootenai County Farmers' Market is still going strong this Saturday! Head on over for fresh local produce, baked treats, artisan goodies, and live music.
Terre’s FIRST EVER Maker’s Market ☕️🎨 If you have Labor Day off work, pop over to Terre Coffee on Government Way! They are hosting their very first Maker’s Market on Monday, September 7th from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. They’ll have 25 local vendors with everything from jewelry and artisan skincare to baked goods and woodworking. Plus, they’re handing out samples of their house-made chai and organic coffee!
Day Trip Ideas 🚗 Looking to hit the road for a quick day trip?

  • Check out Fall Fest up at Schweitzer in Sandpoint.
  • Head south for Paul Bunyan Days in St. Maries.
  • Want to get out of town and try a new restaurant? You can browse all the best food, drinks, and hidden gems in Bayview, Cataldo, Harrison, Athol, and Spirit Lake right on CoeurGuide.com!

Fun Local Story 🌽

Yesterday I was in Super 1 picking out corn for the weekend when a nice older guy stopped me and said he had way better fresh-picked corn over at his farm stand in Dalton Gardens. Naturally, I had to go see for myself! I drove over, and he ended up giving me a full tour of his garden and the freshest bell pepper and zucchini I’ve ever tasted. If you need fresh fall produce like corn, squash, or peppers, go check out Les' little farm stand at 6847 N 15th St in Dalton Gardens. Heads up: it’s cash-only, and if you see him out there, tell him the girl from Super 1 sent you (and be prepared to stay and chat for a minute!) 😉

If you’re out camping this weekend and feeling a little FOMO (like I am), don’t stress. September is officially locals season, which means smaller crowds, beautiful weather ahead, and plenty more fun happening all month long!
I hope you all have a wonderful, safe, and dry Labor Day weekend. Stay summering! ✨
